Boise is Great in 2008!

Welcome to Boise for the 2008 Evergreen District Contest & Convention. We invite you to help us celebrate 50 years of Barbershop Harmony in the Boise Valley. The Chordsmen are pleased to have their barbershop brothers join them in presenting the finest in Evergreen Barbershop Harmony at the prestigious Velma Morrison Center for the Performing Arts. This World-Class theater is the setting for the sparkling jewels we’ll all create for our fellow barbershoppers and the citizens of the Boise Valley.

Our Headquarters Hotel is the 4-Star Grove Hotel, just half-a-mile from the Morrison Center. The Grove Hotel is in the social and cultural center of Boise. It is walking distance from over 80 restaurants, a historical museum, the Basque Museum, the historic Egyptian Theater and at least a hundred shops, catering to your every desire.

In October you can still golf, fish, hunt, ski, walk the green belt, visit a museum or see the sights on the Boise Tour Train. If that isn’t enough, the mild Fall weather in Boise will delight your senses.

Oh yeah! There’ll also be a gathering of your barbershop family. Both on and off stage, you’ll join them as they sing their hearts out. This is a party, not to be missed; because Boise is great in 2008.
